What happens when a certificate is about to expire?

You'll receive proactive alerts well in advance — no more "oops, it expired last week" moments at the gate. Once you renew a certificate, just update the date, upload the new document, and you're instantly ready for site access again.

Is WorkSitePass only for individual workers?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. While individuals use it as a personal wallet, companies use it to manage COIs, Workers' Comp, and clearances. Admins invite their whole crew — workers are unlimited on every plan — so every worker on-site is valid and verified.

When will I receive expiration notifications?

We keep you ahead of the curve. You will receive automated alerts at 90 days, 30 days, and 7 days before a document expires, as well as a final notification on the day of expiry.

How does Live Site Readiness work?

Admins get a real-time Readiness dashboard showing the compliance status of every worker on their crew. Each worker is marked as ready, expiring soon, or expired based on their WCB clearance, safety certificates, and company compliance documents — so you always know exactly who is cleared to be on site.

How does site check-in work?

Accepted Answer

Once a worker has completed every requirement for an active site, a Check In button appears in their mobile app. One tap when they arrive records their check-in for the day — no QR scanning, no extra hardware. Admins see who's checked in today on each site card and on the site's detail page, and the worker's public verification page shows their check-in status too. Check-ins reset at midnight in the site's timezone, and no GPS or location data is collected.

What is a Compliance Package and how do I generate one?

A Compliance Package is a single ZIP file containing your company's key compliance documents — WCB Clearance, Certificate of Insurance, COR® Certificate, Business Registration, and Bonding Letter. Admins can upload each document to the Company Compliance tab and download the full package in one click to share with general contractors or project owners.

Do I pay per worker? What happens when I hire more people?

You never pay per worker — every plan includes unlimited workers. Plans are based on how many active job sites you run at once. Hire ten more people on Friday afternoon and invite them all; nothing changes on your bill. When a project wraps up, complete or archive the site and the slot frees up for your next job.

Can I sync my ID with certificate issuers to add documents automatically?

Currently, documents are uploaded manually to ensure you have total control over your wallet. However, we are actively working on integrations to unify major North American compliance issuers into the WorkSitePass platform in the near future.

Can I store both personal and company compliance documents?

Accepted Answer

Yes. WorkSitePass is built with a structured filing system. You can quickly toggle between your personal safety tickets and your company's compliance documents — WCB clearances (CA) or Workers' Comp (US), Certificates of Insurance, COR® records, safety programs, business licenses, and more — for easy review and access.

Do I need to re-verify certificates every month?

No — certificates are verified once and tracked for expiry. There is no need to re-submit unless the certificate is renewed or updated.

What does "manual verification" mean?

Our team checks certificates directly with the issuing authority — by phone, email, or official online registry — to confirm the document is real and valid.

Is WorkSitePass only for construction?

Accepted Answer

WorkSitePass was built for construction, but it works anywhere compliance matters — oil and gas, utilities, manufacturing, and any industry where workers carry safety certificates.

Do you support OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certificates?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Both workers and companies can upload OSHA-issued training cards, and we track expiry and card numbers the same way we do Canadian safety tickets. OSHA student cards don't carry a printed expiry, but many U.S. GCs require a 3–5 year refresh — set a custom expiry date so WorkSitePass reminds you in advance.

Can I use WorkSitePass with state-specific trade licenses?

Yes. State-issued contractor licenses, journeyman cards, and apprenticeship credentials upload into your wallet as custom certificate types. Verified-badge validation is currently limited to federally or industry-recognized standards (OSHA, AHA, ARC, WHMIS / HazCom).

Where is my data stored?

All subscriber data — certificates, profiles, company documents — is hosted on Google Cloud / Firebase in the northamerica-northeast1 (Montréal, Canada) region. This applies to U.S. and Canadian subscribers alike. Operational logs and analytics may be processed by our service providers in other jurisdictions.

Do you comply with the CCPA?

Yes. California residents have the rights described in our Privacy Policy — including the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale/sharing, and limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. To submit a CCPA request, email support@worksitepass.com with 'CCPA request' in the subject line.

Do you support workers' compensation documentation for U.S. companies?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When your company region is set to United States in admin, the Company Compliance section shows Workers' Compensation Insurance, Certificate of Insurance, Safety Program, Business License, and Surety Bond slots. Canadian companies see WCB Clearance, COR®, and related documents instead. Companies operating in both countries can use the 'Both' region setting to see all slots.
